Narvaiz -- Our dear hard-working Dad, John C. Narvaiz, left us to be with the Lord on January 2, 2000. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jose Narvaiz; two sons, John E. Narvaiz and wife, Myrna, and Robert M. Narvaiz M.D.; and daughter, Sister Shirley Narvaiz O.P. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters. He is also survived by his four granddaughters, Lysa Clark, Debra McDonough and husband, Bob, Genny Narvaiz and Crystal Narvaiz; grandson, John D. Narvaiz and wife, Cindy; two great-grandsons, Eddie and Daniel Clark. John was one of the first faithful parishioners along with his wife, that started to build our beautiful St. Therese Church. During World War II he worked in the California Shipyards for six years. He worked in Albuquerque as an assembly man at the Plant A.C.F., which is now General Electric, working there too."Thank you Dad" for giving us a Catholic education. We will miss you and love you forever. He will be missed by the family, nieces and nephews, and many friends and parishioners of St. Therese. Funeral services for Mr. Narvaiz will be held on Friday at the St. Therese Catholic Church, where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Metoyer, Robert McDonough, John David Narvaiz, Louis Narvaiz, Ted Springer and Ernest Springer. A Rosary for Mr. Narvaiz will be recited on Thursday evening, 7:00 p.m., at the St. Therese Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Heart Association.
