Morris -- Laura Lea Morris, age 40, passed away January 1, 2002. She was born in Albuquerque, May 27, 1961 to Robert L and Harriet Ann (Loken) Gerding. She is survived by her husband, Flint U. Morris of Albuquerque; one daughter, Melanie L. Morris of Albuquerque; one son, Joshua T. Morris at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN; two brothers, Michael W. Gerding of Denver, CO, Patrick R. and his wife, Stephanie R. Gerding of Santa Fe. Laura was active in raising funds for breast cancer research along with her daughter, Melanie and her niece, Rachel Graham. In lieu of flower contributions can be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Central New Mexico Affiliatte, % Laura Harris - Exec. Director, 8420 Ashton Pl. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122 or contributions can be made to UNM Cancer Research in Albuquerque. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 4, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE. Rev Bo Sheen will officiate.
