Stimson -- Eilene Loyd Stimson, age 88, passed away Wednesday in a local hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth Stimson; parents, Dr. Edward and Ida Loyd; sister, Lucile Shell; and brother, Harry Loyd. She is survived by stepson, Kenneth L. Stimson of California; nieces, Barbara Smith of Houston, TX, Patricia Sheffield of Aurora, CO; nephew, David Shell of Honolulu, HI; and many great-nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stimson worked with the Army Corps of Engineers in Alaska during WWII and on the Ute Indian Reservation as a school teacher after the war. She also taught at the Indian School in Santa Fe before retiring after 30 years with the Albuquerque Public Schools. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Beta Chapter Honorary Society for education. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 14, 2002 in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors. Interment will be in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, is in charge of arrangements.
