Valdez -- Mrs. Mary Valdez died Monday, March 4, 2002 in Albuquerque at the age of 91. Mrs. Valdez is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Valdez. She is survived by her sons, Ray Valdez and wife, Lois and Bill Valdez and wife, Josie; daughter, Marianne Baca; grandchildren, Jeff Valdez, Erica D. Valdez, Lisa Valdez, Joseph Michael Baca and fiancee, Rebecca Gist and Angel Baca and wife, Tracy; and great-grandchildren, Sierra Baca and Savannah Baca. Funeral Services for Mrs. Valdez will be held on Friday at Rio Grande Baptist Church where the Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Valdez will be held in the Salazar & Sons Mortuary Chapel on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. A Wake Service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW.
