Redies -- Mrs. Rosalie H. Redies, 91, of Clovis, NM and formerly of Billings, MT, a retired rancher and homemaker died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at her home in Sunbridge Golden Age Care and Rehabilitation in Clovis, NM. She was born on August 8, 1910 in Sundance, WY to Adrian and Marie Hewes and grew up on the ranch her great-grandparents homesteaded. Mrs. Redies attended what was Black Hills Teacher's College in Spearfish, SD and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Home Economics. She then worked for the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, CO. She married Walter H. Redies on May 7, 1937. They raised purebred Hereford cattle for several years and resided in northeastern Colorado, Sheridan, WY and Billings, MT. She was devoted to her family and had a great appreciation for nature and animals. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Julius Hewes; and her husband in 1989. Mrs. Redies is survived by two daughters, Janet L. Redies of Billings, MT and Judy Uerling of Clovis, NM and her parrot, Michael. Graveside Services will be held at Mountview Cemetery in Billings, MT, 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2002. Memorials may be made to any local humane society or the Montana Brian Injury Association. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Chapels of Billings, MT.
