Mendoza -- Andrew Mendoza, 79, a resident of Albuquerque was called to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2002 after a short illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lillian Mendoza; daughters, Janet Schupp and husband, Tony, Evelyn Dimas, and Christina Schiller and husband, Jackie; sons, Larry Mendoza, Andrew Mendoza Jr., and Robert Mendoza; sister, Francis Segura; brother, Julian Mendoza; five grandchildren, Nichole Schupp, Jason Schupp, Joseph Dimas, Danielle Dimas, and Michelle Mendoza. Andrew was a World War II Veteran and retired from Gulton Industries in 1986. He was a member of the American Legion Post 99 and was a Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be sorely missed. A viewing will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW., on Thursday, April 11, 2002 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Services will he held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas and Tennessee NE.. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2002. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 12, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Luis Jaramillo Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jason Schupp, Joseph Dimas, Larry Mendoza, Andy Mendoza, Gilbert Ortega and Gabriel Valdez.
