Mcguinness -- Wava A. McGuinness, 84, left us April 8, 2002. Beloved wife for 42 years to the late Roy McGuinness. Raised in Iowa, she served as a link trainer during WWII for the US Navy, before making her home in New Mexico. She shared a loving bond with her surviving sister, Mavis. A loving mother of Nadine, Janice, Kevin and William. Cherished grandmother of Austin, Mark, Michael and great-grandmother of Precious and Jewel. She is remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., April 10, 2002 at San Jose Parish, 2401 Broadway SE. Services at 9:00 a.m. on April 11, 2002 at San Jose Parish, followed by interment at 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Her family would like to thank the staff at Sandia Hospice for their kind help and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vicent DePaul Society. Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE is handling her arrangements.
