Griego -- Mr. Marcos Griego, 83, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away with his family by his side on April 9, 2002. He is survived by four sons, Nick Griego and wife, Theresa, Ernest Griego and wife, Gina, Marcos Griego Jr. and Roger Griego; six daughters, Betty Lovato and husband, Victor, Sylvia Michel and husband, Carlos, Sadie Griego, Rachel Bustillos and husband, Vicente, MaryAnn Maestas and Eileen Griego; 21 grandchildren, Gilbert, Rosemary, Emmanuel, Victor Jr., Rick, Charlene, Steven, Deana, Denise, Bernice, Carla, Darlene, Carlos Jr., Marty, Paul, Marcos, Carlos Ray, Christen, Marlene, Eric and Raquel; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Estolano Griego and Natividad Griego; five sisters, Leanor Garcia, Cecilia Gutierrez, Teresita Gutierrez, Irene Herrera, and Bennie Trujillo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Candelario and Demesia Griego; his wife, Vivian; brother, Tomas Griego; and sisters, Anita Garcia and Lucia Herrera. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Charles Lucero and his wife Theresa on Thursday evening at San Jose Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Dennis Garcia on Friday also at San Jose Catholic church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mountain Valley Barton Cemetery in Barton, NM. Pallbearers will be Steven Griego, Carlos Michel Jr., Eric Michel, Paul Chavez, Paul Tennyson and Stanley Vigil. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Griego and Martin Sanchez. Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222.
