Cherino -- Mr. Carlos S. Cherino, 73, a resident of Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on April 10, 2002. Mr. Cherino is the beloved husband of 45 years to Mary Cherino. Mr. Cherino is also survived by his daughters, Elaine Ruth Juancho and husband, Al and Stephanie Cherino; sons, Samuel A.R. Cherino and wife, Gloria, Charles Cherini and Kevin Cherino; sisters, Marie Peigler, Theresa Diedrick and husband, Bob and Prudencia Lente; a brother, Phillip Cherino; six grandchildren, Suzanne Juancho-Rodriquez, Monica Juancho, Glorianne Cherino, Samuel Cherino Jr., Shavaughnn Cherino and Mary Cherino; two great-grandchildren, Dominic and Monique Rodriquez. Mr. Cherino was a member of the Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Army and Marine Corps in World War I I and the Korean Confict. A visitaiton will be at the Family Home , Tribal Rd. 82 #160 in Isleta on Thursday evening after 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at the family home at 7:00 p.m. A final viewing will be Friday morning at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isleta from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Nick Nirschl. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. with full Military Honors. Pallbearers will be, Samuel Cherino, Charles Cherini, Kevin Cherino, Al Juancho and Tino Juancho. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd SW in charge of the arrangements.
