Baca -- Sam Garcia Baca, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Adelaide V. Baca of Albuquerque; sons, Samuel V. Baca and wife, Jennie of Lakeland, FL and Daniel L. Baca and wife, Lisa of Albuquerque; daughters, Helen V. Baca of Alamogordo and Celina A. Dowe and husband, Fred of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Baca, Paul Baca, Rebecca Baca, Renee Baca, Kevin Baca, Kemi Dowe, David Dowe and Janelle Bollman and husband, Scott; great-grandson, Logan Bollman; sisters, Bessie and Alice; and brother, Davis. Mr. Baca served in the Army Air Force in WWII from January 1940 until November 1945. He worked at Sandia Laboratories as a security police officer for 27 years. Rosary will be recited Friday, April 12, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 3674 Highway 47 in Peralta, NM. Mass will be celebrated, following the rosary, at 10:30 a.m., also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
