Franklin -- Willa Irene Franklin, 90, a resident of the area for 54 years, died Tuesday, April 23, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John H. Franklin; and her son, Harold D. Franklin. Willa is survived by her daughter, Betty Franklin of Bosque Farms; three grandchildren, Donnie Franklin and wife, Laurie of Ada, OK, Diana Franklin of Rio Rancho and Debra Powell and husband, Bobby of Bosque Farms; six great-grandchildren, Dawnelle Franklin of Tulsa, OK, Justin Franklin of Ada, OK, DeAunna Everingham and husband, Juanico of Albuquerque, LeAnna Powell of Bosque Farms and David and Kevin Shapiro of Rio Rancho; and two great-great-grandchildren, Steven and Hailey Everingham of Albuquerque. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alameda. Services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul NE, with Rev. Marvin Capehart officiating. Entombment will follow the service. Arrangements by French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
