Kameyer -- Sylvan"Joe" Kameyer, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 28, 2002. He was born Tuesday, February 19, 1918 in Galveston, TX. Sylvan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katherine ; son, Darren and wife, Lila (Anne) of Rockwall, TX; daughter, Karen Weaver and husband, Terry, all of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Kimberly and Kourtney Weaver. Mr. Kameyer served in the Navy for 20 years and retired as Chief Petty Officer in 1958. He was employed by ACF Industries and later worked at Dover Elevator Co. for ten years 1983. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 3, 2002, 12:30 p.m. at French retiring in Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. Cremation has taken place. The family wishes to thank all the healthcare providers for their loving care and concern. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 8100 Mountain Rd. NE, 87110.
