Forte -- May her soul rest in peace. Mrs. Alice B. Forte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Barela; sister of Horace, Sophie (Sister M. Natalia), John and Eugene Barela; wife of Anthony C. Forte; mother of Eleanor, Clara, and Charles Forte; grandmother of Veronica Stuart and Brian Martinez; great-grandmother of Claire Stuart, died at home April 29, 2002, in Albuquerque. Also part of Alice's family, past and present, include her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Forte, Mr. Lorenzo Gonzales (Eleanor), Mr. Lawrence Martinez (Clare), Mrs. MaryEllen Forte (Charles), Mr. Mike Stuart (Veronica), and Mrs. Jenifer Martinez (Brian). During her final years, her fondest and most loyal companion was the family pet cat Ms. B.B. Services will be held at St. Bernadette�s Catholic Church. Alice's belief in prayer will be celebrated with a Rosary on Thursday evening, May 2, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 3, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST.
