Rivera -- Alex Rivera, 72, born in Taos, NM, a 45-year resident of Albuquerque, died July 16, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Connie Rivera of the family home; daughter, Mary Frances Candelaria and husband, Nick of Albuquerque; son, Alex Rivera, Jr. of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Daniel and Bonnie Candelaria of Albuquerque; brother, Orlando Rivera and wife, Josie of Taos, NM; brother-in-law, Toby Garcia and wife, Della of Taos, NM; sister-in-law, Bonnie Chacon of Taos, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Josefina Rivera; brothers, Manuel and Joe Rivera; sisters, Loyola Mares and Eulogia Martinez. Services will be held Friday, July 19, 2002, 9:00 a.m., at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Coronado Ward, 5709 Haines Ave. NE. Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to service in the Relief Society Room at the church.
