Pate -- Jack Quinn Pate, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died Monday, July 15, 2002. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Smith and husband, Clark of Clovis, NM and Jacqueline Pate of Denver, CO; son, John Quinn Pate of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kelly Strickland Bonds and husband, James, Sean Strickland and wife, Katherine, Charlotte Whitbeck and husband, Luke, Jennifer Smith and Jack Wilke; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Nina Irvin and Billie Stephens. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Astore Pate; and two grandsons, Chad and Danny Smith. He was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Coast Guard. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church 4020 Lomas NE. Interment of cremains will be at 1:00 p.m., at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
