Oppenheimer -- Loretta Rose Oppenheimer, 96, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Edward; and her daughter, Ella Rose MacGibbon. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Whitehead of Albuquerque, NM and Lora Lee Anderson of Port Lucil, Florida, eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by a brother, Marion Pennington; and a sister, Thelma Dudley. Loretta was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 25, 1906. She was active in Daughters of the Nile, Justamere Bridge Club, and a member of First Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her family, whom she loved dearly. A family memorial service will be held. Arrangements have been made by Strong-Thorne Mortuary.
