Lovato -- Mr. Robert (Bobby) J. Lovato Sr., 62, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on August 23, 2002. Mr. Lovato is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-two years, Agnes; two daughters, Sophie Lovato, Erica Garcia and husband, Sam III; one son, Robert Lovato Jr. and fiance, Dee Dee Gutierrez; his brother, Leo Saenz and wife, Esther; nine grandchildren, Liz, Jesus, Joseph, Samantha, Justice, Santiago, Robert, Sammy Jr., and Alyssa; Bobby was raised by his aunt, Vicky Burkholder; his special aunt, Ella Perea; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert and grandson, Jose. Bobby was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW. Final visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. by Father Landcaster. Interment will follow, with full military honors, at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Sam Garcia III, Leo Saenz, Gilbert Martinez, Paul Maraujo, Nestor Griego and Ron Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Gabaldon Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
