Palladino -- Miss Armida Palladino, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away after a short illness August 28, 2002. She was born in Albuquerque October 2, 1912; the year New Mexico became a state. Her parents, Michael and Armida Palladino, preceded her in death, as did three brothers, Horace, John and Michael Palladino; and two sisters, Lorraine Palladino and Anita Carter. She is survived by her sister, Florence Pavioni; sister-in-law, Rachel Palladino; and brother-in-law, John Carter, all of Albuquerque; her brother, Father Robert Palladino of Sandy, Oregon; numerous cousins and many beloved nieces and nephews and Grandnieces and nephews. She graduated from St. Mary High School in 1931, and then attended beauty school. She was a beautician for over 50 years and made many friends through her work. During World War II she worked in Los Angeles for a time as a"Rosie-the-Riveter." She helped the Brothers of the Good Shepherd Organization for many years and was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Altar Society. She was a daily communicant for most of her adult life and will be missed by her many relatives and lifelong friends. Rosary will be recited at Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE, Monday evening September 2, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will be at Immaculate Conception Church Tuesday morning September 3, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. Her brother Robert will preside at her Mass and burial. Strong-Thorne Mortuary is entrusted with her care.
