Neidel -- Edward C. Neidel, Jr., 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucille of Albuquerque; his daughters, Dottye Davis and her husband, Parke, of Colorado Springs, CO, Jeanne Harbaugh and husband, Larry of Albuquerque, and Nan Miller and her husband, Bill of Albuquerque; his sons, Edward Neidel and wife, Jackie of Austin, TX, and James Neidel of San Francisco, CA; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his brother, George Neidel and wife, Shirley; and his sister, Alice Cittadino and husband, Aldo. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and served in the United States Navy during WW II. He moved to Albuquerque in 1949 and worked for Sandia Labs as a mechanical engineer until his retirement in 1987. Cremation has taken place and a memorial rosary will be recited Thursday, September 5, 2002, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with the Marianites reciting. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, September 6, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, Claremont and Vermont Streets, with Father Ronald L. Bruckner, Celebrant. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 8100 Mountain Rd. NE, Suite 102, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
