Brooks -- Ruth N. Brooks, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1940, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer.� Ruth is survived by her husband, Jerry Brooks; son, Larry Brooks and wife, Barbara of Roanoke, Texas; grandson, Jim Brooks of Midland, Texas; sister, Sarah Hendrickson, and husband, Jim of Hanford, California; brother, Paul Burkholder and wife, Vickey of Albuquerque; mother-in-law, Mildred Brooks of Albuquerque.� Ruth retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1996, after 44 years of service. Ruth had many friends and will be greatly missed.� A special thank you to all the wonderful people at Presbyterian Hospice.� Cremation has taken place.� A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
