Bauske -- Weldon R. Bauske, 83, a longtime resident of New Mexico, died Thursday, September 19, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vivian A. Bauske of Clovis; daughter, Erlene E. Seay and husband, Glenn E. of Los Alamos; son, Dr. E. Roger Hren and wife, Marie of Albuquerque; grandsons, Tim Weldon Seay and wife, Karol of Taos and Jeff G. Seay and wife, Jacque S. of Los Alamos; granddaughters, Cindy Seay of Santa Fe, Kimberly Smith and husband, Jonathan of South Carolina and Jenny Hudgens and husband, James of Canutillo, TX; great-grandchildren, Austin Hudgens and Reed Hudgens; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Bauske served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was owner of W.R. Bauske and Co. General Contractors in Clovis for over 50 years. Mr. Bauske was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and served on the Board of Directors at Western Bank of Clovis for many years. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Bauske was also involved with Gideons International, owned and operated the Portales Inn and Travelers Inn of Portales for a number of years, and was well known in agricultural circles in Eastern New Mexico. Services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2002, at 1:30 p.m., at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution NE in Albuquerque, with Dr. Robert J. Butler officiating. Visitation will take place at the church, one hour prior to services. Graveside services will take place Monday, September 23, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, with Pastor Doug Brooks officiating.
