Lucero -- Guadalupe"Pita" M. Lucero (BAMA), age 78, was born March 12, 1924 in Mineral Hill, NM. She left her family quickly and peacefully in the early morning of October 21, 2002. Pita was preceded in death by her husband, Horacio Lucero; her oldest son, Robert Lucero; her parents, Rosendo and Maria Lesperance; her brothers, Larry Lesperance, Albino Lesperance, and Tony Lesperance; and her beloved sister, Annie Pacheco. She is survived by a family that will love and miss her forever; sons, Horace Lucero Jr. and Billy Joe Lucero; daughters, Olympia Trujillo and husband, Richard, Anna Lucero and Jim Ruis, Janie Hudgeons and husband, Fred; brother, Frank Lesperance and wife, Cellina; her grandchildren that she loved more than life, Mary Ann and husband, Al, Christian, Greg, Steve and wife, Stephanie, Brian and wife, Sheila, Consuelo, Guillermo, Lisa, Willie, and Jeff; two great-granddaughters, Emily and Grace; extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews who loved and will miss her. Memorial Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 4th and Alameda NW. A Memorial Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2002. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2002. Private interment services by the immediate family only will follow. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST.
