Burd -- Beatrice O. Burd, 68, passed away at home Thursday, October 31, 2002. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, and friend. Beatrice was born in La Puente, New Mexico. She retired from Siemans after 23 years of employment. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers. Beatrice is survived by her husband, Nelson Burd; children, Evelyn Rodriguez, and husband, Mario, Nelson Burd and wife, Brenda, Doreen Shoemaker and husband, Lee, and Brian Burd; seven grandchildren, J.B. Justin, Vincent, Tanya, Jordan, Karen, and Crystal; brother, Ross Martinez; sister, Mary Levasseur; dear friends, Horace and Cecilia Trujillo; many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved and will miss her. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 2, 2002, at 9:00 a.m., at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE. A reception will follow at 5301 Rawlings NE.
