Gage -- June Hall Gage, 87, a resident of Carefree, AZ died Monday, November 4, 2002 in Albuquerque of cancer. She was born June 15, 1915 in Perkins, OK and was raised in Texarkana, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Avery M. Gage who died December 24, 1996. They were married February 11, 1945 in Texarkana. The Gages lived in Los Alamos, NM until their retirement in 1979. June worked as an executive secretary in the theoretical physics division of Los Alamos National Laboratory for 14 years. They lived part-time in Los Alamos and in Carefree, AZ until moving permanently to Carefree in 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Gage Hume and husband, William C. Hume; and her son, William A. Gage and wife, Fairy Heiser Gage; and four grandchildren, William Avery Hume, Elizabeth Anafred Hume, Katherine Elizabeth Gage and Michael William Gage. She is also survived by her brothers, Richard V. Hall and wife, Julie Hall, and Robert E. Hall and wife, Betty Ann Hall; sister-in-law, Mary Gage Nowlen and husband, Wayne Nowlen; brother-in-law, William H. Gage and wife, Rowena Gage; sister-in-law, Louise Gage Brendel and husband, Alfred Brendel; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 16, 2002 at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church, N. Scottsdale, Rd. and Carefree Hwy., Carefree.
