Peña -- Max Pena, age 88, beloved father, grandfather, and brother was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 20, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cruzita Pena; his parents, Jose and Irene Pena; sisters, Lucia Pena, Julianita Castillo, Rosa Lovato; and brother, George Pena. Max is survived by his son, Tony Pena and wife, Mary of Milan, NM; his grandchildren, Tim Pena and wife, Bridgette, Gina Pena and husband, Jeff Morales; great grandchildren, Lonie Morales, Chelsea, Katrina and Cruzito Pena. Also surviving are five sisters, Rose Gutierrez, Romie Martinez, Emma Naranjo, Sadie Pena and Dora Chavez; one brother, Joe Pena, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Max will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Visitations will be held Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba; where a Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at the Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Don Gallegos, Epi Gallegos, Michael Montoya, Gary Gutierrez, Waldo Gutierrez, Anthony Martinez, and Jeff Morales.
