Dodson -- Roy Dodson, 98, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, was called home to be with the Lord our Savior on Thursday, November 28, 2002. He was born on February 21, 1904 in Eudora, Missouri. Roy loved to sing. He spent much of his adult life singing in the gospel quartets. He always put God first in everything he did. Roy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Fern; two daughters, Doris Crain and Frances Dickson; three brothers, Arthur, Harry, and Coleman. He is survived by one daughter, Altalee Berry and her husband, Kenton of Belen; seven grandchildren, John Dickson of Houston, TX, Roy Dickson and his wife, Vicki of Lincoln, Jim Crain and his wife, Sharon of Clovis, NM, Linda Crow and her husband, Bill, Dave Crain and his wife, Lori of Belen, NM; Suzanne Simmons and her husband, Larry of Toronto, Canada, and Dwight Crain and his wife, Traci of Hewitt, TX; eight great grandchildren, Teresa, Troy, Tami, Janae, Jeremy, Aubri, Tim, and Gillian; and three great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 2, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Belen with John Kennedy officiating. Romero Funeral Home 609 N. Main St. 87002.
