Hamilton -- Rickey"Johnny" Hamilton, 57, a resident of Corrales, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2002. Johnny was born July 14, 1945 the son of Woodrow and Edna Carter Hamilton in Normangee, Texas. He had worked for the Moriarty Public Schools before retiring. Johnny had served in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He had moved to Corrales from Moriarty, New Mexico. Johnny was preceded in death by one sister, Sara-ut Hamilton in 1947. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Virginia Hamilton; two daughters, Rhonda O'Brian and husband, Edward of Albuquerque, and Jennifer Hamilton and husband, Anthony of Corrales; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Jordan Hamilton, his"special angels". Further survivors include brothers-in-law, Thomas, Willie, Greyson, and Franklin; and many cousins in Texas. A Memorial Service for Johnny will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho.
