Hughes -- Frances K. Hughes, 78, a resident of Albuquerque for 52 years, passed away in a local hospital Monday, Christmas Eve. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred N. Hughes. She is survived by daughter, Delores McQuestion of Oregon; son, Dwight Hughes of Los Lunas; grandchildren, Rebecca, Keith, Lee, Justin, Garrett, Devin (Dinky) and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Colby, Spencer, Sydney and Nathan. She was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hughes retired from Dillards Department Store. She enjoyed painting landscapes, quilting, crafting and gardening. She will be greatly missed by her family and dear friends. Services will be held at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal S.E. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be conducted at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
