Armijo -- Sally V. Armijo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died on December 26. Sally was born on April 13, 1916 to Perfecto and Elicia Vigil in Lemitar, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Santiago Armijo, and three daughters and their husbands: Alvie and Tommy Torres, Stella ad Ernest Lujan, and Michelle and Paul Lucero. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and their families: James and Deanna Torres; Tim and Michelle Torres and their children, Brittani, Ciera, and Sivana; Paul and Sally Ann Torres Pena and their children, Joshua, Cambria, and Jerick; Charlie and Tonette Torres Martinez and their children, Briana and Nick; James and Tammy Torres Cox and their son, Zane; Elicia Lujan; Luke Lujan; Christopher Lucero and Jessica Garcia and their children, Aeneas and Matias; Marisa Lucero; and Adam Lucero. Also surviving are her sisters, Rose V. Baca of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Margie V. Herrera and her husband, Gabriel, and her brother, Lawrence Vigil and wife, Angie. Sally enjoyed sewing, crochet and other creative pastimes, but her passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was deeply loved and she will be greatly missed. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Seniors Group and belonged to Immaculate Conception Parish. The family wishes to thank Dr. Mark Saddler and Dr. Middleton and the entire staff at Sandia Hospice Pavilion for their kindness and the compassionate care given to Sally. Funeral Services for Mrs. Armijo are pending and will be announced at a later time. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, James Torres, Tim Torres, Luke Lujan, Chris Lucero and Adam Lucero, and her nephew, Ron Baca. A Rosary for Mrs. Armijo will be recited on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Sandia Hospice Memorial Foundation, 4725 Indian School, NE, Ste. 100, Albuquerque, NM, 87110.
