Schrader -- After a long battle against cancer, Scott Andrew Schrader passed away quietly in the last minutes of Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at the age of 40. Scott was born on November 20, 1960 in Savannah, Georgia. He moved with his family to Albuquerque in 1974. He graduated from Highland High School and the University of New Mexico with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. He was an employee of Sandia National Laboratories since 1993. Scott was a caring man who loved children, and he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. Scott is survived by his two children, Troy, 6, and Emily, 4; his parents, William and Margaret (Northcutt) Schrader of Albuquerque; three brothers, Lyn, Karl, and Joe Schrader, all of Albuquerque; and two sisters, Dawn Schrader of Albuquerque and Kristi Ouellette of Monterey, California. A memorial service will be held at Ridgecrest Christian Church, 5300 Eastern Ave. SE (NW of San Mateo and Gibson) on Saturday, June 30, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, 87110, Attn.
