Hertz -- Mel Hertz, 63, a resident of Albuquerque for 30 years, died Friday, August 31, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Hertz of the family home; sons, Brian Hertz and wife, Terry of Frisco, TX, and Joseph Hertz of Irving, TX; three grandchildren, Austin, Nathan and Logan Hertz of Frisco, TX; and sister, Marilyn Hertz of Montana. Melvin was a former board member of the Lobo Club. He received his BBA at the University of Washington and his MBA from Thunderbird Institute in Phoenix. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 5, 2001, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Sophie Gurule reciting. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 6, 2001, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE (Lomas and Tennessee) with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Interment will take place Friday, September 7, 2001, 3:00 p.m., at Hinsdale County Cemetery in Lake City, CO. with Father Jim Koenigsfeld, officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Tuesday, September 4, 2001, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
