Champion -- Theresa Verre Champion, 93, born in Hartford, Connecticut on October 5, 1907 passed away at the Montebello on Academy on Friday, June 8, 2001. Terry came to Los Alamos, New Mexico in 1945 and was an elementary school teacher there for 27 years. She moved to Albuquerque in 1975 with her husband, Glenn, who died in 1993. She has resided at The Montebello on Academy since 1990. Mrs. Champion is survived by her daughter, Catherine Conn, son-in-law, John Conn, both from Albuquerque; her granddaughter, Theresa Conn from New York, NY; and a sister, Mary DAddeo from Hartford, Connecticut. Private graveside services were held for Mrs. Champion on June 11, 2001 at The National Cemetery in Santa Fe where her husband is buried. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Treatment and Research Center, 640 Jackson St., St. Paul, Minnesota 55101.
