Juech -- Daniel M. 84, resident of Albuquerque since 1955, passed away at the VA Hospital Friday, October 5, 2001. He was a staff Sergeant in the Army during WW II And served in the European Theatre as well as in Iceland. He was born in West Bend, WI, and moved to Albuquerque in 1955 with his family. He was crew chief for his daughter Bonni's hot air balloon"Hot Stuff". He volunteered at the Balloon Fiesta, and was very knowledgeable about ballooning and known for his quick wit. He was also a member of American Legion Post 49, and retired from Western Electric in 1983. He was preceded in death by; his father Arthur Juech, who was Chief of Police in West Bend, WI, mother Caroline Juech, brothers Wilber and Marvin Juech, daughter Jeana Andrews, 2 grandsons; Steve Crawford and Jesse Butler. He is survived by; his wife Lillian Juech of Alb. Son Joseph Creek of Plaisade, CO, daughters; sue Barrios and husband Joe, Bonnie Northcutt and husband Ben of Alb., Nichole Juech of Colony, TX, granddaughters; Lisa Boone and husband Wes, Jennifer Barrios of Alb., grandsons; Phillip and Andrew Barrios of Alb., Daniel Creek of Palisade, CO, great-grandchildren; Gordon, Steffen and Donavan Allen of Alb., numerous other relatives in Wisconsin and other states. Memorial services are pending. Visitation will be held at Direct Funeral Services on Monday October 8, 2001 from 5pm - 7pm. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th NW Alb. NM 87107 343-8008.
