Duemler -- Florry"Brownie" Duemler, age 75 of Corrales, New Mexico died Monday, October 1, 2001 in Ft. Collins, Colorado, due to injuries she received in an accidental fall she had while vacationing and visiting relatives in Northern Colorado. Her body has been cremated and Private Services will be held later. Brownie's remains have been buried along side her husband's at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Florry Browne Hemphill was born December 27, 1925 in Jackson, Mississippi, to Andrew James Hemphill and Johnnye Damron Hemphill. She moved to Dallas, Texas in 1928 and married Richard Ralph Duemler on May 18, 1946. He died June 8, 2000. She was a member of the Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church in Jemez Springs, NM where she served formerly as a Deacon. She is survived by five children including four daughters, Diana (and Lewis) Sartain of Hobbs, NM, Deborah (and John) Warden of Austin, TX, Virginia (and Bret) Thomas of Fredericktown, Ohio and Rebecca (and Bill) Daily of Albuquerque, NM; and one son, Retired Lt. Col. Richard F. Duemler (and Sharon) of Canyon Lake, TX; three sisters, Minnie Moran and Janita Wells both of Dallas, TX and Lulu Jamison of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, a brother, A.J. Hemphill, preceded Brownie in death. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Jemez Springs Community Presbyterian Church, in care of the church itself, or Goes Funeral Care, 3665 Canal Dr., Suite B, Ft. Collins, CO 80524.
