Henderson -- Dr. Thomas Richard Henderson II, 69, died on Wednesday, October 3, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dr. Rogene Henderson; son, Thomas (Tim) Henderson and wife, Maryanne of Hollywood, FL; daughters, Edith of Albuquerque and Dr. Lucy Clemen (Laura) and husband, Mark of Bremerton, WA; grandchildren, Genevieve Henderson and Catherine, Nathaniel, Vivienne and Joseph Clemen. He was preceded in death by son, Robert Rosser Henderson; brother, John Rosser Henderson, Jr.; and his parents, John Rosser Henderson and Laura Mae Olson Henderson. Thomas was a graduate of Pan American University and served his country in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. He received his doctorate in chemistry from the University of Texas in Austin, where he met and married his wife, Rogene Faulkner. Dr. Henderson worked as a research chemist for many years teaching at the University of Arkansas Medical Center, the University of Albuquerque, UNM Valencia and he conducted research for Lovelace Inhalation Toxicology Research Institute, now Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute. He was also an entrepreneur, operating the Albuquerque Assay Lab and other ventures. T.R. was active in Kiwanis, was a former chair of the Appropriate Rural Technology Association (ARTA), served on the board of The Storehouse, was a compadre of Ghost Ranch, and was a longtime member and elder at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. He was a generous and optimistic man, and he loved to have everyone over to catch trout in his backyard pond. He will be sorely missed. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 5301 Ponderosa NE, with Rev. Frank Yates officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to The Storehouse, 106 Broadway SW, 87102. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
