Rein -- Janette B. Rein, 76, (though she would say 39,) Librarian, vegetable gardener, carpenter, activist and practical joker, passed away May 21, 2001. She was accompanied by her daughter, Jill at the time of her passing and showed grace and humor till the peaceful end. She was born on June 15, 1924 in New York and lived in a variety of states since. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Rein and is survived by her daughters, Jill Gatwood and her husband, Byron, Susan Rucker and her husband, Ernie Bradbury; sons, Brooks Magruder and his wife, Sue Doke, and Brad Magruder and his partner KatSue; grandchildren, Nigel and Olivia Gatwood, Jenna and Jillian Magruder; sister, Katherine Grego of New York. Many thanks to the loving, attentive staff at the Mazano del Sol Nursing Home where Jan spent her last years. No official Memorial Services are planned, but we ask that you play Frank Sinatra and plant tomatoes in her name. Cremation arrangements by the Sunrise Society of New Mexico, 891-8200.
