Barela -- Dave Barela, went home on Monday, May 28, 2001 in Carnuel, NM. Dave is survived by his loving wife, Vivian of 28 years; sons, Davy Barela, Ernest Barela and wife, Michelle, Anthony Barela and April; Vivian's parents, Augustine and Stella Herrera; two grandchildren whom he loved very much, Ocean Barela and Ray Barela. Dave is also survived by his mother, Alvera Bailey and husband, Ron; sisters, Angela Garcia and husband, Elmer, Yolanda Herrera and Josie Rivera; brothers, Manual Barela and wife, Connie, Ernie Barela and Patricia, and Alex Barela; 15 Godchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Barela; sister, Diane Gonzales; brother, Ray Lozano; and his sister-in-law, Yvonne Garcia. Dave died doing what he loved most, riding his Harley Motorcycle. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh and would cheer you up when you were down. He had a Big Heart and always willing to help everyone. The Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Jerry Herrera, Sam Herrera, Gilbert Lesperance, Junior Barela, Joe Sanchez and Euesebio Barela. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Valdez, Marvin Saiz, Joe Torres, Joe Al Faro, Sonny Maez, Felix Martinez, Junior Gutierrez and Ed Aguirre.
