Fritzges -- Frank Charles Fritzges, Sr. Born on July 2, 1920 in Santa Fe, NM to his parents, Henry and Frieda Fritzges. Frank C. Fritzges passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2001 in Albuquerque. Frank grew up in Santa Fe and served in the US Army with the 19th Combat Engineers during WWII. He saw military service in North Africa and Italy during his enlistment. Frank married his childhood sweetheart Mary Lou McDuff on July 6, 1942. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59, years Mary Lou; a daughter, Agnes Lee Brooks; and his brother, George. He is survived by his children Linda Susan Rivers Lubbock, TX and Frank C. Fritzges, Jr. Albuquerque; sisters, Agnes Vanderwal and Edith Scales Albuquerque and Thelma McCarty El Paso; also surviving are grandchildren, Scott Hibner, Eric Fritzges, and Jennifer West; and his devoted dog, Penny. Frank moved to Albuquerque in 1962 with his family to continue his career in retail furniture sales. He was a devoted husband, companion, father and grandfather. Since his early childhood, he deeply enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing in New Mexico. He shared his great love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren. They will always cherish that aspect of him. Frank was a sensitive, caring soul with a wonderful sense of humor immediately sensed by those who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Interment will be in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday April, 25, 2001.
