Sundberg -- John R. Sundberg, 77, died peacefully Tuesday, April 24, 2001, after a 10-year fight with primary lateral sclerosis. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Sundberg of Albuquerque and Susan Sundberg-Walker and husband, John of Tijeras; son, John A. Sundberg and wife, Jennifer and their children, all of Albuquerque; brother, Richard Sundberg and wife, Donna of Ft. Pierce, FL; several nieces and nephews; and former wife, Mary Sundberg of Albuquerque. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Harmony House. John graduated from the University Minnesota at Duluth in 1949. He taught Physics at Los Alamos High School, and was an instructor of weapon designs at Sandia National Laboratories 1952-1988. John directed and produced more than 200 training films. He served during WWII as an enlisted and commissioned Naval Aviator. John was a member of the New Mexico Sailing Club and the Rio Grande Sailing Club. Cremation has taken place. Contributions may be made to Friends In Time, 4906 Jefferson NE, 87109.
