Anderson -- Virginia Rae Patek Anderson went to be with our Lord on Thursday, April 26, 2001. Ginny was born on November 11, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI. She was adopted by loving parents, Gertrude and Alfred Patek. She was a graduate of Marquette School of Nursing. She married Neil"Larry" Anderson on January 5, 1957. Ginny and Larry and their six children moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1970. Ginny spent her life giving and serving others as a nurse at Lovelace Medical Center. She spent 15 years caring for patients on the medical unit, then five years in the Oncology/Hematology Department. Retirement in 1994 gave her the opportunity to enjoy traveling with her lifelong friend Larry and to become her grandchildren's"Greatest Fan", as she supported them in a variety of activities. She is preceded in death by her parents. Her legacy of love continues through her husband, Larry Anderson of Albuquerque; her mother-in-law, Marguerite Anderson of Albuquerque; her children, Bruce Anderson and his wife, La Nell and their children, Craig, Thomas and Elizabeth of Albuquerque, Sharon Mikkelson and her husband, Don of Los Alamos, Gary Anderson and his wife, Annette and their children, Jordan and Taylor of Austin, TX, Cindy Dickson and her children, Kristy and Danny of Albuquerque, Ken Anderson of Dallas, TX, Christine Dietz and her husband, Andy and their children, Brant, Amanda, Madison and Joshua of Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Desert Springs Church, Building Fund, 3722 Hawkins NE, Abq., NM 87109. A Memorial Service to honor her will be held Monday, April 30, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124. Wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and caregiver. You are dearly loved, and we will miss you, but we will not say good-bye, we eagerly await the time of our family reunion in His Kingdom.
