Briones -- Angels came on July 11, 2001 to take David Roland Jr. home."Little Boy" was a very special child born with physical and limited capabilities sent by God to Janette Annette Garcia Briones and David Roland Briones on May 19, 1973. David was born in Los Angeles and raised in Los Angeles, Austin, TX and Albuquerque. His grandparents, Louella and Trinidad Garcia nurtured and loved their oldest grandson very much. His grandmother, Ruth Briones who lives in Austin, TX loved her grandson, David very much. David had 16 aunts and uncles in the Briones family; three aunts and uncles in the Garcia family; and many cousins."Little Boy" loved to eat, play with his pets, go horseback riding, swim, listen to music and watch cartoons and nature programs on TV. He loved his brothers, Manuel, Frankie and Carlos. He enjoyed listening to his brothers talk about and play baseball and football. He will be dearly missed by his family. A Rosary will be recited Friday, July 27, 2001, 7:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Parish, 833 Arizona SE. Mass will be held Saturday, July 28, 2001, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Parish, Father Thomas J. Mayefske.

Caldwell -- Margaret L. Caldwell, 77, went home to the Lord on July 22, 2001 in San Antonio, Texas. Margaret attended Albuquerque High School and was married in the month of April in 1944, her special hobby was bingo. Margaret was born in Albuquerque on April 2, 1924 to the late Nicholas and Lucia Lucero. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Barney Caldwell who passed away seven years ago. Mrs. Caldwell is survived by her stepbrother, Larry Lucero; sons, Ron Caldwell and wife, Mary Ann, Richard Caldwell and wife, Kathi, Ruben Caldwell, Robert Caldwell of New York, John Caldwell of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Bernadette McRoberts and friend, Mark Guerra of San Antonio, Texas; and 12 grandchildren. Margaret will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations for Mrs. Caldwell will be Friday July 27, 2001 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church with a Rosary to follow at 7:30 p.m. Final viewing will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Garcia Chapel. A Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the San Pedro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vanessa McRoberts, Natalie McRoberts, Felix McRoberts, Jason Caldwell, Dale Caldwell and Joseph Maldonado. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joshua Caldwell, Robert Caldwell and Letisha Torres. Funeral Services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary 717 Stover Ave. SW 243-5222.

Chavez -- Linda Ann Chavez, 54, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Monday, July 23, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Chavez, Jr. of Cubero, New Mexico; daughters, Diane Garcia and Tina Torivio and husband, Elden, both of Casa Blanca; stepson, Jacob Chavez and wife, Melba of Abilene, TX; granddaughter, Ray Ann Garcia of Casa Blanca; grandsons, Michael Ray and Carlos Garcia, both of Casa Blanca and Xavier Chavez of Abilene, TX; mother, Daisy Chavez of Albuquerque; sisters, Cynthia Armijo and husband, Steve Griego and Lisa Jaramillo and husband, Max, both of Albuquerque, Laura Chavez and husband, Joe of Santa Fe, Pernetty Salazar and husband, Hector of Bibo, NM, Joy Trujillo and husband, Candido of Ponderosa and Vicki Rodriquez of Gilbert, AZ; brothers, Donald Chavez and wife, Mary Ann of Salt Lake City, UT, Joe Chavez and wife, Frances of Pecos, NM, Oscar Chavez and wife, Jo Ann and Patrick Chavez and wife, Valerie, all of Albuquerque. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Garcia. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 1:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Light in Cubero, with Father Larry Bernard, O.F.M., Celebrant. Crawford -- Major John F. Crawford, USAF (Ret.), 68, a 28-year resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Crawford of Albuquerque; daughter, Molly Boyle and husband, John of Littleton, CO; sons, John F Crawford, Jr, and wife, Kit of Albuquerque and MSGT. William P. Crawford of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Jennifer and Paul of Littleton, CO; sister, Luella Popkin of Tucson, AZ; and numerous family members in the upstate New York area. Mr. Crawford retired from 20 years of military service and 15 years of service with Blue Cross of New Mexico and over 20 years of service as a local businessman and owner with his wife, Pat. He was greatly admired and a friend of all who met him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside service will be held Monday, July 30, 2001, 10:30 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Granville -- William A. Granville, 66, a resident of Santa Fe for 15 years, died Monday, July 23, 2001. Locke -- David W. Locke, 86, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Monday, July 23, 2001. Macdonald -- Allen Keith MacDonald, Jr., 56, rose up to Heaven on July 23, 2001. He was born October 15, 1944 in Callaway, Nebraska to Mary Joyce Massie-MacDonald and his father, Allen Keith MacDonald, Sr. He was a 18 year resident of Albuquerque. Allen loved life and his family to the fullest. He was a parishioner at St. Joseph's on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, he was a great supporter of the United Way & the Special Olympics. He loved the City of Albuquerque and the many people who passed through the Supermarkets that he managed over the many years with Safeway & Furrs. He loved to spend all of his spare time with his family whom he loved very much. Allen was from Denver, Colorado in the suburb of Lakewood. Allen received his bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and was a great supporter of the C.U. Buffalo's football team. He was a diehard Bronco football sports fan and an avid sponsor of the UNM Lobos Allen Honorally served in the U.S. Army from November 1965 to August 1968 with the 527th Military Intelligence Company/66th Military Intelligence Group in Washington, D.C. and in Germany. Allen was awarded the Army Commendation Medal during his military service. He graduated from the Berlitz School of Language in Washington D.C. where he studied German. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla MacDonald of the family home; three daughters, Michelle and Sonia MacDonald of the family home and Alexandra MacDonald of Las Cruces; son, Douglas MacDonald and wife, Claudine of Edmonds, WA; father, Allen K. MacDonald, Sr. of Lakewood, CO; sister, Janet Zajac-Spade of Woodland Park, CO; step-daughter, Carmen Morales; step-son, George Morales and wife, Monica, all of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Jared and Maija Morales; and 21 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Joyce MacDonald. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande with Father Frank Prieto, Celebrant. Internment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Lord God, source and destiny of our lives, in your loving providence you gave us Allen to grow in wisdom, age, and grace. Now you have called him to yourself. As we grieve the loss of one so young, we seek to understand your purpose. Draw him to yourself and give him full stature in Christ. Medina -- Clarencio Medina, 37, formerly of Albuquerque died, Monday, July 24, 2001 in Detroit, MI. He is survived by his parents, Ralph and Gloria Medina of Albuquerque; brother, Rafael Raul Medina of Albuquerque; sister, Amanda Maimone and husband, Matt of California; and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Reichert -- Leo Walter Reichert, 72, passed away at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Albuquerque, NM on July 24, 2001. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Lee Winnen and husband, Arthur, of Tooele, UT, Kathryn Reichert of Tempe, AZ and Patti Jo Luke and husband, Ted, of Colleyville, TX; grandchildren, Ryan Allen Luke, Scott Mitchell Luke, Joseph Reichert Winnen, David Kent Winnen, Lauren Erin Luke, Mary Ann Cannon and Amber Lynn Winnen; great-grandchild, Dallas Kole Cannon; brother, Stanley Reichert of Washington, PA; and sisters, Florence Gorby of Pittsburgh, PA and Genevieve McGlone of Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Reichert was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Paul and Regina Mosier Reichert and by a brother, Frank Reichert. He loved fishing and the outdoors. He had many fishing buddies. He also loved to play jokes on everyone. Leo's pride and joy were his seven grandchildren and great-grandson. Shaeffer -- Gertrude "Trudy" Shaeffer, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956; a loving mother, grandmother and friend, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Barresi and husband, David of Albuquerque; son, Robert J. Shaeffer of Ft. Worth, TX; brother, Charles Rowley and wife, Annabelle of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Tylden, Drewcilla, Stacey, Marcus and Rebecca; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Shaeffer in 1974. Trudy was a born-again Christian and worked for many years at Gibson's Discount Store.
