CALLAHAN -- Priscilla Mercedes Callahan, 83, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred R. Callahan of 48 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons, Michael and wife, Romelia, Craig and wife, Catherine, Marvin and wife, Janelle, Kevin and wife, Joann; daughter, Janell and husband, Isaac; brother, Sixto Leyva, and wife, Sophie; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren plus one on the way. Priscilla was a wonderful mom, grandma, and friend. She was born and raised in Pena Blanca, NM and then moved and lived in Santo Domingo, Santa Fe, and then Albuquerque. Her kind and loving spirit touched many people. She was a very generous and caring person who served and helped anyone who crossed her path. She instilled in her children strong family values and faith. She loved to go to basketball games and just being in the company of her family. The love she had for us all was insurmountable and she made sure everyone she knew was told she loved them. She was a great cook and shared her knowledge and love of cooking with many people. She made the best beans! Thanks mom! We will miss her dearly and look forward to seeing her again in heaven. A visitation will be held at Calvary of Albuquerque on Monday, March 28th from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with a Life Celebration Service starting at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Jai-Kab Callahan, Jadn Callahan, Jhonah Callahan, Mark Vazquez, Daniel Aguilar, and Mathew Medina. SIMMONS -- Willard C. Simmons, LtCol, US Army (ret), 95, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for the past 11 years, passed away March 3, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June Simmons; children, Bruce W. Simmons and wife Danise, Barry A. Simmons and wife Sally, Carol A. Simmons and husband Lee Williams; brother, Wallace Simmons; grandchildren, Sarah Page and husband Adam, Marshall Simmons and wife Jessica, Logan Simmons; great-granddaughter, Hosanna Beth Page; several nieces, one nephew and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Melvyn Miller Simmons, and by a granddaughter, Carrie Simmons. Born June 15, 1915 in McKinney, TX and raised in Oklahoma, Willard graduated from Chickasha High School and worked as a railway mail clerk. At the beginning of World War II, he joined the army and graduated from Officer Candidate School. His military career was highlighted by serving in Patton's army, acting as a courier for the Manhattan Project, running the post office on Okinawa after the war, serving in Korea, and assisting with plans during the Cuban missile crisis before retiring as a Lt. Colonel. His numerous military stations included the Philippines, Japan and Puerto Rico. After leaving the Army, Willard worked for the Social Security Administration as a Systems Analyst from 1962-1980. He was recently interviewed for the Veterans History Project by a representative of the Library of Congress. During his later life he earned a reputation as an expert blackjack player at the local casinos. A member of MENSA, he was also a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at the Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE and Meadowlark Lane, Rio Rancho, NM. CLIFTON -- Anna L. Clifton, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, formerly of Portland, Indiana, passed away on February 11, 2011. Mrs. Clifton is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years Mr. Albert Clifton; her children Mel Amundson and wife, Sonja, Carol McKinney and husband, Bill, and Lorie Rivera and husband, Benny; her brothers, Arthur Hiatt and wife, Helen, and Charles Hiatt; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. LEITCH -- Annette Mary Leitch August 15, 1934 to December 24, 2010. A private family memorial service will be held in Las Cruces, New Mexico for Annette Mary Leitch, 76. Annette was born on August 15, 1934 in Staten Island, NY, to Harold C. Tucker, Sr. and Annette M. Tucker. Both parents precede her in death as well as one brother, Harold C."Sonny" Tucker, Jr. Annette and J.W. Leitch were married in Fort Worth, Texas on April 8, 1951. J.W. survives her at the family home in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Annette is survived by four children: Michael Wade Leitch and wife Shannon of Vancouver, WA, Patricia Dawn Leitch Hill of Las Cruces, NM, Robert Scott Leitch and wife Kathryn of Albuquerque, NM and Gary Wayne Leitch of Albuquerque, NM; her grandchildren: Sarabeth, Patrick, and Justin Leitch, Jonathan Hill, Betsy Leitch Eklund and husband Ryan, Chris, Serena, Brian and Brandon Leitch; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Eklund. She is also survived by two sisters, Helen Tucker and Alice Hill and husband Kenneth Hill, niece Deborah Hill McKinney and nephew Kenneth Hill, all of Fort Worth, Texas. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mesilla Valley Hospice - La Posada, 299 E. Montana, Las Cruces, NM 88005, who were a Godsend in her time of need.

BENTON -- Clifford Dean Benton Jr., known as Kip, passed away on October 8, 2010, just short of his 83rd birthday. He was born November 5, 1927, in Grand Haven, Michigan. Kip grew up in Denver, Colorado and received his engineering degree from the University of Denver. A Navy veteran, Kip was proud to have served in World War II. Kip operated a construction company for many years before going to work for Johnson Controls at the Los Alamos Laboratories. He was an avid pilot and flew his Beechcraft Bonanza all over the southwest. He was an active board member of the Zia Credit Union, and he enjoyed traveling. Kip is survived by his wife, Louisa Martinez Benton; his sister, Coralee Spooner; and his children from previous marriages, Gary, Mary, Tracy and Barbara Benton and their families; His stepchildren are, Steve Baca (wife, Laura Baca), Dorothy Baca (husband Lee Wasserman), Maria Baca ( partner Pancho Quintana); and daughter-in-law Patricia Baca; His grandchildren are Patrick McKinney, Nadia Anderson (husband Jonathan) , Sonia Baca , Mischa Wasserman, Zoe Wasserman, Dolores Lujan (partner Mike Riggs), Linda Salazar, Dominic Gonzales, Amy Baca (partner Ryan Elliott) and Tricia Baca (partner Tommy Lucero); His great-grandchildren are Isaiah McKinney, Ava Anderson, Miles Anderson, Zachary Dean Riggs and Lauren Lucero. He was preceded in death by his son Ricky Benton; and his two step-sons, David and Walter Baca. The funeral will be held November 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. MCKINNEY -- David H. McKinney, III, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 89 years of age. He was preceded in death by his son, David H. McKinney, IV of Bloomington, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorris McKinney; and his children, Dotty McKinney, and Paula Schoeneman, and Paula's husband, Barry of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Angela McKinney and granddaughters Margaret Ann McKinney and Katherine Maureen Bertsche and husband Miles of Bloomington, Illinois; and Dotty's children, grandson Charles Jay Olive and his wife Janette and daughter Sofia, and grandson Jonathan Scott Olive and his daughters Tamara Michele and Jaimie Nichole, and Tamara's children Jonathan, Jordynne and Joseph of Albuquerque. Mr. McKinney was born in Eagle Nest, NM, August 29, 1921, and served in WWII in the 10th Armored Division under General Patton, and received the Bronze Star for his service to our country. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., at Calvary Chapel, 4001 Osuna Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. DENTON -- Nancy Jo Willcott Denton, 69, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 11, 2010, at her home in Sachse, Texas. Nancy was born February 11, 1941 in Chanute to Ralph and Ethel Snyder Willcott. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Gordon; and their three daughters, Mandy (Tony) LaRocca, Chanute, Cristin Carballo, McKinney, Texas, and Sunni Baker, Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Taylor Phelan, Sydney and Brooke Carballo, Austin and Camryn LaRocca, Brady and Lowery Baker; her brother, John (Joan) Willcott, Sunrise Beach, Mo.; and sister Beverly (Dave) Martin, St. Peters, Mo. Nancy graduated from Chanute High School in 1959, and attended the University of Kansas, where she was a a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She was then a flight attendant for Braniff Airways for several years. Nancy and Gordon lived in Albuquerque, N.M. during their tenure with the New Mexico Air National Guard. They also lived in El Paso, Oklahoma City and Fort Worth before moving to Sachse. While living in El Paso, Nancy worked in the hotel sales business, and was very active on committees for the El Paso Sun Bowl and the Amigo Air Show. She loved her husband of 36 years, her children and grandchildren, and her beloved dogs Bear and Jack. She was known for her sense of humor and sense of style, her creative work with fabrics and home decoration. She will be missed by all. Memorials may be sent to S.T.A.F.F - the Society for Treatment of Abandoned and Fractured Friends, an animal rescue facility at P.O. Box 1324, Laurie, MO, 65038. A celebration of her life was held at her home in Sachse on Wednesday, September 15, 2010.

DUDLEY -- Ina Mae Jacobs Dudley, 98, a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, passed away September 25, 2010, in her home in McKinney, Texas where she had lived since 2005. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Kathy Jacobs of Dallas, TX; her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Jed Harris of McKinney, TX; her grandchildren, Julie MacCluskey and husband, Joel, and Jennifer Nelson and husband, Andy, of Centennial, CO, Amy Marek and husband Bobby of Allen, TX, Josh DeWitt and wife Jenny of Bainbridge Island, WA, Joey Jacobs of Long Island, NY, and Travis Jacobs of Lexington, KY; and great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Cydney, Bobby, Zach, Zoe, Kelia, Haley, and Abby. Ina was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Jacobs; her son, Jerry Jacobs; four brothers; and her parents. "Gran-Gran" was born on August 12, 1912 in Waco, TX. She graduated from Denton High School in 1930. She received her Bachelor of Science in 1930 from North Texas State Teacher's College in Denton, TX, now University of North Texas. She was an elementary school teacher for 36 years in TX and Hobbs, NM before retiring in Albuquerque. Ina loved her music and was known for her amazing piano and organ talent. She used music to break down educational and language barriers and to bring many smiles to her students' faces. The only thing she loved more than her music was her family who she supported in every way. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. HERNDON -- Patricia Lee (nee Worster) Herndon, beloved wife and helpmate, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2010, following a 20-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. We will miss her, but we find joy in knowing that she is delivered out of earthly bondage and into a new and perfect life with Christ. Patricia was born in Spring Lake Heights, New Jersey on November 17, 1929 to Merle C. and Mary Frances (nee McKinney) Worster, and grew up in Manasquan, NJ. She met the love of her life, Kenneth Lee Herndon, at a dance in September 1949 and they were married on December 11th that same year. They lived all over the world during Ken's Air Force career, and had four daughters: Mary Bailey of Columbus OH, Barbara Wilcox of Corpus Christi TX, Melanie Christenson of San Antonio TX, and Holly Huddle of Albuquerque NM. Patti and Ken moved to Albuquerque in 1975. Patricia loved music and dancing, miniatures and dolls, gardening, and reading. She was active in her church as a Daughter of the King and the Society of Mary. She and Ken attended Bible Studies and Foyer Groups and participated in many programs at the church. Patricia is survived by her husband Ken; her daughters, Mary, Barbara, Melanie, and Holly and her husband Gary; six grandchildren: Megan, Erin, Mandy, Kelli, Ben, and Patsi; seven great-grandchildren; her sister Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Eucharist celebrating her life will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood Park Blvd, NE, Albuquerque NM 87112, on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception immediately after.
