Moeller -- Richard B. Moeller, 55, a resident of Albuquerque since 1952, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002. He is survived by his parents, Ben and Dorothy Moeller of Albuquerque; uncle, Bill Moeller and wife, Saranna of Refugio, TX; aunts, Rosemary Delaurier of Victoria, TX and Ruth Hunt of Blessing, TX; and many friends and business associates. Mr. Moeller was an architect. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Phillips -- Charlotte Meeting Phillips, 94, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died October 17, 2002 in her home in Albuquerque. She was the widow of Leonard Gregory Phillips, who died in 1981 and preceded by her brother, Paul Henry Meeting of Houston. She is survived by sister in-law, Margaret Meeting; her niece, Sherin Meeting Jester; and her great-nephew, Nathan Taylor all of Houston, TX; two step-daughters, Mary G. P. Hall of Santa Fe and Jane Bialek of Baltimore, MD; a step granddaughter, Tabitha Hall of Albuquerque and their families. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where she was elected to the honorary scholastic fraternity Phi Beta Kappa and also became a member of Alpha Phi International Fraternity. For many years, she was an editor for the McGraw-Hill Book Company in New York and for the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Phillips was a member of St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, Albuquerque, where Memorial Services will be held on October 21, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in St. John's Cathedral Chapel with the Reverend Canon Albert W. Turbell, officiating. Her ashes will be interred in the Columbarium at the Cathedral. The family requests no flowers. If desired, contributions may be made to the Memorial fund of St. John's Cathedral, to the Alpha Phi Foundation, 1930 Sherman Avenue, Evanston, Illinois 60201, or the charity of one's choice. Sanchez -- Amalia Sena Sanchez, 109, one of Santa Fe's Living Treasures, passed away peacfully at her home October 16, 2002. She was born in Los Lunas December 8, 1892. As a child she was raised in Santa Fe's historic Sena Plaza, which was built by her grandfather. She was always an activist. As early as 1914 she was helping to sell lemonade on the Plaza to fund the first Santa Fe Public Library. In 1927 she was elected Santa Fe's first Fiesta Queen. She enjoyed a life rich in experience and events, and gave of herself unstingily first to her family and church, then to the community and the many who crossed her path. She was predeceased by her husband, Manuel A. Sanchez in 1970; her son, Manuel P."Pat" Sanchez in 1996; and her daughter, Juanita Sena in 1999. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Isabel Hoffman of Santa Fe; her son, Jose M. Sanchez and wife, Carol of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law, Jane Sanchez of Albuquerque; son-in-law, Claude Sena of Santa Fe; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2002 at McGee Memorial Chapel followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 21, 2002 at St. Francis Cathedral 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Carmelite Ministry or the Santa Fe Public Library.

Smith -- Selina Smith, born June 16, 1930 passed away on September 25, 2002. She was born in Puerto De Luna, New Mexico and was raised in the Santa Rosa area. She resided in Albuquerque, Estancia, and most recently in Rio Rancho. Her parents, Bernardo and Manuelita Espinosa; her sister, Dolores Esquibel; and her husband, Elmer Smith preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons, Phillip Hoehne of Vaughn and Russell Smith of Colorado; daughters, Nancy Flores of Albuquerque, Yolanda Donalson of Rio Rancho, Dolores Wood of Rio Rancho, and Kimberlee Turpin of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rachael Hoehne, Kevin Smith, Ashley Smith, William Waters, Jonathon Flores, Jacqueline Flores, Megan Wood, Ashley Wood and Amber Turpin; great-grandchildren, Joshuah Flores, Jasmin Flores, Darryn Flores, Kennedi Rey, and Tyler Martin; her sister, Rose Maldonado; daughters-in-law, Carmen Smith and Martha Baca-Hoehne; and sons-in-law, Jake Flores, Dan Donalson, and Matthew Wood; and also many friends from the Church of Christ. Services will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rio Rancho Church of Chirst, 1006 22nd Street SE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Tavasci -- Ernest J Tavasci, 83, a life long resident of Albuquerque passed away October 16, 2002. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from Sandia Labs after 30 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Cleo Tavasci of the family home; his precious children, Albert Tavasci, Vangie Tavasci-Arellano and husband, Paul Arellano; grandchildren Yvette Arellano, Gina Arellano, Zemina Tavasci, Albert Tavasci, Julian Tavasci; sister, Mary Herrman; brothers, Joe and Robert; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends; and his beloved dog Tasha Bear. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. A Rosary will be recited at Holy Rosary Church at 9:30 a.m., October 19, 2002, followed by funeral mass. Toffelmire -- Joe C. Toffelmire, 94, died peacefully at home on October 18, 2002. He was preceded in death by his two brothers; two sisters; and his granddaughter, Janet. Joe is survived by his wife, Madeline, of the family home; two daughters, Joanna Sandoval and husband, Peter along with their children Joe, Jeff, James and their families; Gretchen Lane and husband, Golden along with their children Stephen, Susan, Shana, Cary and their families; and nine loving great-grandchildren. Joe was in the newspaper business for half of his working life starting as a printer's apprentice; the owner of two newspapers; and then in advertising for the Albuquerque Journal. He then spent the other half of his work life as manager for Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company. He had a great sense of humor and told lots of good stories. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Turner -- Betty Turner, 79, a resident of Corrales, passed away October 15, 2002. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe D. Turner; daughter, JoAnne Crandall and husband, Bob of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Mike Crandall and wife, Shirlee of San Antonio, TX and Scott Crandall and wife, Nancy of Plano, TX; great-grandson, Brett Crandall and brother, John Stoops of Bakersfield, CA. Betty graduated from Albuquerque High School and was an avid bridge player with the Duke City Bridge Club. She was also well known for her dancing in plays and commercials while living in Seattle, Washington. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 21, 2002, 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE (off of I-25 and Martin Luther King Blvd). Branum -- Mary Louise Guerin Branum, died Wednesday, October 16, 2002. She was born to Eva Barnes and Louis Guerin and was a native of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Mary Louise married Clint Branum in 1942, and they moved to Albuquerque about 1963. She is survived by two nephews, Gene and Kenneth Guerin; niece, Marlene Gonzales; three younger cousins whom she called granddaughters, Karen Tunnell, Joan Carlson and Anita Kramer Gorder; and two special cousins, Lucille Cde Baca and Donna Di Lorenzo Castleman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint; brother, John Guerin; sister, Ambrosita Guerin; and by her dearest cousins, Angie Kramer and Irene Di Lorenzo. Mary Louise was a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community. She loved golf, traveling and gardening. For many years, Mary Louise raised and canned her own vegetables, which won several blue ribbons at the State Fair, and which she shared with friends and neighbors. Always cheerful, helpful and generous, we have lost a good friend and relative. Cremation has taken place and memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 19, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Charles -- Dorothy E. Rader Charles was born on September 28, 1903 in Mason City, IL. She has been a resident of Albuquerque since 1928. She died Tuesday, October 15, 2002 after a few months of illness. Services will be held Friday, October 18, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Cohea -- Anne Marie Cohea, 80, died August 11, 2002 of complications from pneumonia. She was a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, and was most recently a resident of Laurel Gardens. She was born January 25, 1922 to Edward A. Vetter and Katherine Weldi Vetter in Arlington Heights, IL. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Cohea O'Hearn and husband, Pat of Bloomfield, NM; Barbara Cohea and husband, Shad Dusseau of Anchorage, Alaska; a grandson, James P. O'Hearn of Bloomfield, NM; a sister, Kathryn Grage and her husband Cap of Escondido, CA and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Marie Farnsworth, her dear friend and neighbor of more that 40 years, as well as Warren and Fran Wendell. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor E. Cohea in 1988. She was a 1940 graduate of Arlington Heights Township High School. In the late 1940's and early 1950, she worked for Albuquerque Federal Savings and Loan Association. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish. Burial has taken place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2002 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Vista Care Hospice in Albuquerque of Alzheimer Association Research, 919 N.
