ROACH -- Debora Dawn Roach, 43, a lifelong resident of Los Chavez, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2004. Debby was preceded in death by her father William "Bill" Roach. She is survived by her mother Patricia Roach; and daughter Dawn Boelkins; two brothers, Michael and his wife, Ernestine, and Jerry and his wife, Joyce; nephew, Justin Roach; nieces, Jessica Roach and Elizabeth Peters; and great-nephew, Adrian Griego; and numerous other loving family and friends who loved her and will miss her. She was a 1978 graduate of Belen High School. She followed in her father and brothers footsteps with a career in Law Enforcement. Debby first served as an Open Space Officer in the Albuquerque area then as an Aviation Officer for the Albuquerque Sunport and finishing her law enforcement career as a Belen Police Officer. She decided to go into business for herself owning and operating a local establishment, and was a standing member of the Los Lunas Chamber of Commerce. She was a kind, fun loving person who was generous to a fault. Debby will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at 1:30pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm at Romero Funeral Home with Reverend Boyd Morerod officiating. Romero Funeral Home 609 N. STEPHENS -- Isabel Stephens, 69, passed away February 5, 2004. Isabel was loved by the children of Griegos Elementary and La Luz Elementary, and had retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools in 1993. Isabel was a life long member and officer of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 100, and was always there to lend a helping hand and care for others. She was the loving Mother of daughter, Kathy Silva and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Amanda Gonzales, Monique Silva, and Ruben Silva; great grandchildren, Desiree Gonzales, Joseph I. Gonzales, and Steven Daniel Martinez Jr.; special friends, Randy and Carole Ward, Sarah Grimm, and Pricilla Grimm. The angels have taken our beloved mother, grandmother, Great Grandmother, and dearest friend to join God In Heaven. God Bless You and Keep You Isabel. A short viewing will be at the Direct Funeral Services Chapel on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Montgomery Place Church of God, 3601 Montgomery Blvd. NE. TAPIA -- Josephine Tapia died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 in Albuquerque at the age of 80. She is survived by her husband Ubaldo Tapia. Sons; Leroy Tapia and wife, Maria, and Steven Tapia; daughters, Viola Marquez and husband, Joe, Mary Anderson, Olivia Tapia, Lorraine Hossfild, Beverly Tapia, Ida McAllister and husband, Benny, and Rosie Sanchez and husband, Daniel; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A Rosary for Mrs. Tapia will be recited on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leonard Marquez, Jimmie Marquez, Thomas Marquez, John Anderson, Eugene Wash , and Steven Tapia. Honorary pallbearers will be Jessie Montoya, Lee Tapia and Leroy Cordova. TIEFA -- Burnell K. Tiefa, resident of Albuquerque since 1962, passed away February 3, 2004 at his home. Burnell was born in Arvada, CO, July 26, 1932. He was an athlete, a Coastguardsman, graduate of Colorado Univ, and computer programmer. He loved Beethoven, art, and feeding the birds. Burnell was the loving son of Edith and Reinhold. He is survived by his children, Marc, Kurt, and Cathleen Tiefa; grandchildren, Aaron, Daniel, Diane, and Alexis Tiefa; and his loving companion, Sandra Bilberry. Now he is with his beloved dog, Buddy. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Animal Humane Society.

TOLES -- Lynden (Lindy) Toles, born August 4, 1916 in Glen Falls, New York, passed away peacefully. He died at home on Sunday, February 1, 2004, in the arms of his loving wife Frances at 5:15 AM . In 1968, he married Frances Thorman, originally from El Paso, Texas. Lynden and Frances were married for 35 years. After a brief time in San Clemente , California, they settled in Albuquerque in 1970. He is survived by his daughter, Jerrie Pryburn; and by two step-sons, Stanley Poole and his wife, Valerie and Gary Poole and his wife, Kasandra both of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and his step-daughter, Catherine O'Neal of El Paso, Texas. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Charlotte McCollum. He is survived by his grandchildren, Lorrie Harker, Lynden Paul Harker and David Harker; and by his step- grandchildren, Kirt Poole, Elizabeth Reynolds, Roy Angelini, Dean Spear, Sherry Spear and Jayson Poole; as well as by 12 great- grandchildren. Lynden was a great fisherman and gardener. He loved animals and the outdoors. He was very kind and loving to all as well as a patriot who loved his country. During World War II, he fought in the Pacific and was awarded a Metal of Excellence as a rifle sharp shooter. He was a beloved courageous platoon leader. After four years of service, he received disability due to a war injury. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, especially his loving wife. We know he is where he should be in the company of his Lord and Angels. A Graveside Service will be held at the Veterans Cemetery in Santa Fe on Monday, February 9, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

TSIKTERIS -- Theonia Tsikteris was born October 10, 1918 in New York. She passed away February 1, 2004 in Albuquerque and was a longtime resident of Rio Rancho. VALENTINI -- Sydney Bain Valentini joined her husband, Frankie in heaven, on Tuesday, February 3, 2004. Her loving family was by her side and she will be greatly missed by them and a host of friends. She was a pillar of strength for her family and friends and touched the lives of everyone that knew her. She was a beloved wife, mother, nana, daughter and sister. Sydney is survived by her son, Brandon and wife, Sarah; granddaughter, Elise; and grandson, Jeremy Valentini; mother and father, Lou and Don Wooten; her sister, Ava and husband, Richard Bickel; brothers, Griff and wife, Mary Wooten and Brett Wooten; niece, Lynzy Bain Wooten; nephews, Wayne and Dow Bickel, Joshua and Jacob Wooten. WILSON -- Lillian Dixie Wilson, 80, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, January 30, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Berry of Albuquerque; son, James A. Berry and wife, Sandra R. of Braxton, MS; granddaughters, Dr. Jessica Renee Berry of Seattle, WA and Maria Michelle Everman and husband, Kevin of Tok, AK; and brothers, Joseph and Albert Fisher, both of Michigan. CAURAUGH -- Genevieve L. Cauraugh, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Genevieve was born March 3, 1916 the daughter of Francis John and Lois Elizabeth Sinclair Wassmer in Suffern, New York. She had been a dental hygienist with the State of New York and in private practice before retiring and coming to New Mexico. She had been a member of St. Michael's World Apostleate of Bayside, New York. Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband; and her mother, Lois Breitenbacher. She is survived by one son, Frank Cauraugh and wife; Sandi of Centreville, VA; two grandchildren, David and Dawn Cauraugh; and one great- grandchild, Maria Cauraugh. The Visitation for Genevieve will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2004 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, February 9, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park.
