ROMERO -- Sam Santana. I want to announce the passing of Sam Santana Romero. He recently passed away peacefully, due to a long illness. His passing came quick and he was laid to rest, the next day in Taos, in the traditions of Taos Pueblo custom. Sam was a Taos Pueblo man, living, working, and raising his family here in Albuquerque. He lived a full and happy life, filled with family, hunting, camping, fishing and later, the casinos. Sam retired as a gasoline pump installation and repair man. After retirement, he was an accomplished feather artist and travelled the country doing shows. Patience, love and compassion, and a heart of gold was what my father possessed. He always had a smile for everyone. Sam was a very spiritual man, both in the Native and Catholic ways. He is now happily in the world of his ancestors and all of his beloved family, and with the Lord. Special Thank you to Pete and Rose.
