Main, Belen. The Last CallDewdrops in the grey-eyed mourn Unruffled in russet canopy blush. We see their cotillion in emerald grace, Embracing the orifice of our water clock. This is our refrain at the arching bridge This is how we give ear to the last call. In the composure of our last breath And blush of heart, we let go.The milk of earth born kindness touches us Before adjoining us to the silent life; As if flitted by wings of singing angels, To trapeze our lives, the way of earth. You have passed through our door And our house will never be hallow So ride at anchor of your silent dreams, Rejoice in your dominion of eternal life.Dedicated to my cousin, Emma Garcia Olguin who passed on at 2:00 AM Sunday, March 14, 1999Oscar S.
