Ortiz -- In Loving Memory of MANUEL ORTIZHappy Birthday Grandpa, This Poem's For You. Grandpa Although I never really knew him cause I was very small, the way my daddy talks about him he seemed ten feet tall. He was stern and strived on discipline with the seven children he and grandma had, this man was my grandpa, the man whom they called dad. He was strong, but fair with all of them according to my dad. No matter what they said or did whether there was good or bad. He died in February of"89 and for them it was so sad. The cancer that took my grandpa's life would no longer hurt so bad. I seem to miss him now and then and wonder how things would be if he were still around today to talk with my sister and me. We'd play with him and hold his hands. So many things that we would do. He'd spoil us. I'm sure of that and say he'd love us too. Although I never got a chance to say I love him or good-bye for I was only two years old the year my grandpa died. So here's to you grandpa, hope Jesus is holding you and to let you know I talk with you and tell you I Love You!Amanda Ortiz Jackson Middle School Albuquerque, NM Grade 6
