Ortiz-Torres -- Ortiz- Isaiah Angelo Ortiz-Torres, infant son of Kevin Torres and Jeanette Ortiz, died Saturday, September 4, 1999 and has gone to be with the Lord. He is also survived by his sister, Savannah Martinez of Albuquerque; grandparents, Richard and Karen Torres, and Kathy Torres of Albuquerque, Larry and JoAnn Sisneros and Ernest Ortiz of Tucumcari; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Torres of Socorro, Mr. and Mrs. John Roybal of Las Vegas, NM, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Montano of Albuquerque, and Mrs. Ontonia Ortiz of Tucumcari. Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Calvary Chapel, 1900 Edith NE, with Pastor Bruce Lininger officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary. Wintermute -- Forest"Gene" Wintermute, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died Sunday, September 5, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy ann Wintermute; children, David E. Wintermute and his wife, Margi of Albuquerque, Leta M. Babb and husband, Michael Ondrik of Albuquerque, Richard J. Wintermute and wife, Ruth of Albuquerque, Barbara J. Wintermute of Loveland, CO, Timothy M. Wintermute and wife, Pamela of Albuquerque, and Jeanne L. Oselio and husband, Mike of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Melissa, Joshua, Samantha, Jason, Amy, David, Richard Jr., Jesse, Sarah, Chastity, Stephanie, Marshall, Tiffany and Cherise; brother, William Wintermute and wife, Hazel. He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmie F. Wintermute. Mr. Wintermute had been associated with the McLeod Printing Company for 41 years and was the owner at the time of his death. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Believers Center of Albuquerque, 320 Waterfall Dr. SE, with Senior Pastor Marshall Townsley, officiating and Assistant Pastor John Ross and Pastor Joe Cangiolosi, officiating. Galloway -- John Scott Galloway, beloved son and brother, died of a heart attack August 31, 1999 at the age of 45. He leaves behind his mother, Josephine D. Mechem and her husband, Edwin L. Mechem; his three sisters, Ann, Beth and Christin and their husbands, Gerald, Larry and Bill. He is also survived by his niece, Downie; nephews, Thomas, Stanley and Sean. John was preceded in death by his father, Stanley D. Galloway and his niece, Jennifer Ann Van Hanerbeke. It is impossible to express how much he will be missed. John was a graduate of Highland High School and the University of New Mexico's Robert O. Anderson School of Business with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Sisneros -- Mr. Ramon Sisneros died Monday in Albuquerque at the age of 88. Mr. Sisneros was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Sisneros; son, Dennis Sisneros; and daughter, Rita Sisneros. He is survived by his sons, Joe Sisneros, Carlos Sisneros, Ray Sisneros, Larry Sisneros, Jerry Sisneros and frank Sisneros; daughter, Cecilia Fernandez; brother, Rudy Montano; sister, Mary Mirabal; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services for Mr. Sisneros will be held on Thursday at the San Jose Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Samson -- Norberto R. Samson Jr. was born on March 3, 1946 to Norberto R. Samson and Martina G. Ramos in Angono, Philippines. His father was an anesthesiologist and his mother was a pharmacist. At an early age he showed profound interest in surgery and often accompanied his father in surgery. He was a graduate of the University of the East in Manila. Dr. Samson came to the U.S. in 1974 and graduated from Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens in 1980 after completion of the surgical intern and residency programs. In 1981, Dr. Samson chose Tucumcari, NM to be the home of his practice. He continued to practice there until August, 1999. He was preceded in death by his father in 1974; his mother in 1989; and his two-year old son, Marty Lawrence Peterson Samson in July, 1983. Dr. Samson died Wednesday, August 25 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. Dr. Norberto Samson is survived by his wife, Carla; son, Norberto P. Samson III; daughter, Laurie P. Samson and granddaughter, Jordyn, all of Tucumcari. Other relatives include brothers, Bobby, Butch and wife, Mariquit; sisters, Ami and husband, Nestor, Helen and husband Pepe, Nini and Ditas; nephews, Chuck, Beau, Brian, Rafael, Jon and Jay; nieces, Patti, Kendra, Nesa and Trina, all of the Philippines. Other relatives in Tucumcari include Larry and Carole Peterson, and Claude, Fran, David and Tina Peterson. Close personal friends include Susan, Randy, Kyle and Kaycee Lease and the Bonnie Frost Family, all of Tucumcari and Susan, Larry, Zachary, Joshua and Seth Adkins, all of Albuquerque. In addition, Dr. Samson left many patients that he considered family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marty Lawrence Peterson Samson Memorial Scholarship Fund of Mesa Technical College. Dr. Samson will be buried in Manila Memorial Park Cemetery, the Philippines, on Tuesday, August 31. A Rosary and Memorial service in Tucumcari will be arranged on or about September 12, with specifics pending.
