ANDERSON -- Kai Morningstar Anderson. Second star to the right and then straight on till morning. Forever a child. Our beloved boy was born November 13, 2004. Our small miracle is loved and missed by his mom, Amity L. Clay and his dad, Brandon A. Anderson. Kai has left a large and sad family, including his maternal great-grandparents, Nancy and Richard S. (Robby) Robinson, Col USA Ret; his maternal great-grandmother, Kitty Owens; his grandmother, Susan (Juli) Robinson, his grandfather and his wife, Larry and Lynn Clay; his paternal grandmother and her husband, Tanya Owens and Ed Long; and his paternal grandfather, Buddy Anderson and Regina Chavez; and his uncles, Michael Foster and Ben Anderson; his aunt Whitney Long, aunt Miriam McCullough, and aunt Naomi Lucas. He has many wonderful cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He also has his special uncle and aunt Nick and Bec Jaramillo. A Memorial service has been held. BACA -- Barbara E. Mrs. Barbara E. Baca, 63, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 14, 2004 with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Baca is the beloved wife to Mr. Joe Baca, Sr., married for 46 years. Mrs. Baca is also survived by her children, Pete Baca and wife, Prescilla, Joe Baca, Jr. and wife, Dubie, Abel Baca and wife, Shirley, Bernadette Lovato and husband, Paul, Rick Baca and wife, Yvette; three sisters, Cecilia Padilla and husband, Sotelo, Isabel Padilla and husband, Leandro, Clara Olivas and husband, Joe; one brother, Placido Chavez Jr. and wife, Carol; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A visitation for Mrs. Baca will be Tuesday evening in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Theresa King. A final visitation will be Wednesday morning in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Ed Chaffee. HOLGUIN -- Shirley C. Holguin passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, November 11, 2004 in Albuquerque at the age of 50. Mrs. Holguin is survived by her father, Tobias Chavez Sr.; husband, Amalio Holguin; children, Paula Chavez, Eddie T. Chavez, and Angela Sanchez and husband, Rudy; brothers, Robert Chavez and wife, Lorraine, and Toby Chavez Jr. and wife, Lana Kay Lovato Chavez; sister, Deborah Rascon and husband, Arnulfo; and grandchildren, Leroy, Santana, Clarissa, Louise, Rudy III, Estrella, Isaiah and MarkAnthony. She was also loved by her aunts, Helen and Ted Watrin, Betty and Damacio Padilla and Diana, uncles, and cousins. Visitation for Mrs. Holguin will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. also at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2004. Times to be announced. ANDERSON -- Joe Anderson, 68 of Fort Sumner, NM died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 at Lubbock Health Care in Lubbock, Texas following an extended illness. Joe was born October 16, 1936 in Littlefield, Texas to the home of George C. Anderson and the former Lizzie C. Gleaton. He was reared at Fort Sumner where he attended school, graduating in 1956. While attending Ft. Sumner he participated in football and basketball. Joe married Jessie Pickett on July 5, 1957 in Las Vegas, NM. They made their home in Las Vegas where Joe was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone. He was drafted into the US Army where he served four years. Following his honorable discharge he continued as a technician for Mountain Bell for 31 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Las Vegas and a longtime volunteer with the City of Las Vegas Fire Department. Joe and Jessie made their home and farmed in the Fort Sumner valley since 1990. Joe was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting trips with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters L G Sinclair, Thelma Anderson, Eva Teal, two brothers Mose Anderson, and Carl Anderson. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Jessie Anderson of the home in Fort Sumner; one brother Doug Anderson and wife Shelby of Gaston, Indiana; seven sisters Wanda Mechnig and husband Bill of Roswell, NM; Jewell Sasser of Clovis, NM; Fern Hay and husband George of Pep, NM; Mae Hodge, Dorothy Neuman, Frances Nahlovsky, and Blanche Boyd all of Fort Sumner, NM. Also surviving are two brothers-in-law Walter Pickett and wife Teresa of Los Alamos, NM; Clyde Pickett and wife Jackie of Las Vegas, NM; two sisters-in-law Shirley Payne and husband Jim of Deming, NM, Bea Anderson of Fort Sumner, NM along with many loving nieces, nephews including Joy and Larry Batts of Hobbs, NM, a host of friends and good neighbors. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Sumner with Rev. Coy Brewer officiating; burial will follow at Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mr. Anderson's nephews. The family prefers memorial contributions to the Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 629, Portales, NM 88130. FLORES -- Anna Marie Flores passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2004 with her Mother, sister, and brother at her side. She had bravely battled cancerous brain tumors, her strength courage and faith gave those who truly loved and cared for her as much comfort as they tried to give her. She is preceded in death by her Father Jacinto Richard Flores; Maternal grandfather, Jose M. Sanchez; Paternal Grandparents, Jacinto Flores and Elvira B. Flores. She is survived by her Mother, Frances A. Flores; Sister, Maggie J. Flores; Brother, Charles (Charlie) E. Flores; Nephew, Richard P. Chavez-Flores; Maternal Grandmother, Mrs. Bennie L. Sanchez; Maternal Uncles, Albert N. Sanchez Sr. (Al Hurricane), Morrie L. Sanchez (Tiny Morrie) and his wife Gloria P., Gabriel R. Sanchez (Baby Gaby) and his wife Eleanor; Paternal Aunts, Amelia Maldonado and husband Joe E., Odelia Tapia and husband Steve, Betty Rael and husband Ray, numerous cousins, relatives, and friends. Anna was born and raised in Albuquerque and graduated from Albuquerque High School. She worked for Citizens Bank and at the age of 19 she began her career at Southwest Airlines. While at Southwest she was very involved in the Annual Ronald McDonald Dinners and fundraising activities as well as the Balloon Fiesta. Even after leaving Southwest to focus all her energy and attitude on fighting off her illness she considered Southwest Airlines her second home and its employees her second family. Anyone who was touched by Anna always saw the world a bit differently after that, she was constantly reminding us to live and love like there was no tomorrow. Anna requested when you join her and her family in celebrating her eternal life to remember yellow was her favorite color. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Brain Tumor Association or Presbyterian Hospice. Anna you surely will be missed by one and all. Visitations were held on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary and a Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments were served after the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Burial followed at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers were Matthew Lucero, Ernest Tapia, Eloy R. Maldonado, Lorenzo Sanchez, Rocky J. Sanchez and Nelson Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Apodaca, Alfred Ray Rael, Miguel Flores, Norbert Chavez, Danny Baros and Michael Sanchez. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to all relatives and friends who were so kind, supportive and helpful during their recent loss. The family would also like to thank the co-workers of Gabriel Sanchez at the United States Postal Service, co-workers of Maggie Flroes at Southwest Airlines, Eloy R. TRUJILLO -- Philip G. Mr. Philip G. ( Phil ) Trujillo, 66, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 10, 2004. Mr. Trujillo is survived by his lifelong friend and mother of his children, Carmen Montano-Trujillo. Mr. Trujillo is also survived by his children, David Trujillo, Janice Caro, Debbie Ortega and husband, Ruben, Danny Trujillo, Rick Trujillo, Marisa Trujillo, Dominic Trujillo, and Ginette Trujillo; two sisters, Louisa Rico and husband, Ramon, Lucella Maez and husband, Joe; ten grandchildren, James, Juliette, Andrew, Adrieanna, Paige, Levi, Jerome, A.J., Gabrielle and Nicholas; three great grandchildren, Anthony, Aleiah and Dante; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Trujillo was preceded in death by his brother, Julian Trujillo. Mr. Trujillo was a member of the Catholic Church and was very involved and enjoyed volunteering as a foster grandparent for the City of Albuquerque at Griegos Elementery. Phil was loved by all and will be greatly missed. A visitation will be Saturday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 2:00 p.m. by Mrs. Eileen Montoya.
