QUINTANA -- Olivama C. Mrs. Olivama C. Quintana, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on March 30, 2005. Mrs. Quintana is survived by her two daughters, Isabelle Mc Clanahan and Della Molloy; two sisters, Olivia Doerr and Carmen Olivas; one brother, Henry Olivas; sister in law, Isaria Olivas; six grandchildren, Renee, Jamie, Robert, Rebecca, Brenda, and Marleena; three great-grandchildren, Monique, Angelique, and Desirae; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Quintana was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II "Army Nurse Corps." A visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. A final visitation will be Monday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a..m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with Military Honors. Pallbearers will be Ron Olivas, Joe Martinez, Johnny Rodriguez, Ernest Pacheco, Johnny Hoffman, and Ron Olivas Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Molloy and Gregory Martinez. REIFSCHNEIDER -- Anna Louise, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry and son, John. Anna is survived by her sons, Harry Jr. and his wife, Gayle, Leonard and wife, Judy, and Thomas and wife, Linda. Daughters JoAnne Miyares and husband, Urban, and Renee Thomas and husband, Peter. 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 4, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with the celebration of the Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Rio Rancho, with the very Rev. Msgr. SAIZ -- Leonard Lee Jr. Our special angel Leonard Lee Saiz Jr., born April 26, 1989, went with Our Lord on wings of angels, March 31, 2005 at 5:45 a.m. surrounded by his loving family. Leonard was a loving, caring, and understanding 15 year old. He was warm and kind hearted with lots of love for everyone he knew. His heart was larger then we could ever imagine, full of kindness. Leonard never said anything bad about anyone. Leonard loved to play video games, do puzzles, and seek-a-words. He used to laugh and smile all the time. His smile lit up everyone's day. In your lifetime you have given us far more gifts than we can count, yet the ones we remember most are the ones you gave us from within, often without realizing it. When you were a child, you gave us the gift of allowing us to see the world through your eyes and finding the beauty we had overlooked before. The many memories we've made, the love you have given, and the love we have for you are lifetime gifts. I let you know that one of the greatest gifts of all is the joy that has been in our hearts since the first moment we held you in our arms. Though we can no longer hold you in our arms, we will carry you in our hearts every day of our lives. You are the music in our hearts. We love you and miss you dearly. We will deeply miss our angel now and forever with all the love in our hearts. We love you Len!!! He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Helen and Ramon Saiz of Belen. Leonard is survived by his mother, Lucille Padilla and Ruben Martinez, Sr.; father, Leonard Saiz, Sr. and Stephanie Herrera of Albuquerque, NM; grandparents, Judy Saiz and Richard Navarrette of Albuquerque, Joe Padilla of Los Chavez, NM, and Isabel Romero of Garita, NM; his nina, Clorinda Saiz of Belen; sister, Joleen Padilla; brothers, Christopher and Eddie Saiz and Sean Herrera of Albuquerque, and Ruben Martinez, Jr.; aunts, Jude and LeAnn Navarrette, Teresa Garcia, and Lori Cano of Albuquerque; uncles, Max and Joe Jaramillo of Albuquerque. He is also survived by several great aunts and uncles. All his family members were special to him, which he loved dearly. A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 3, 2005, from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Monday, April 4, 2005 from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jose Rodriguez, Brian Hansen, Eric Mestas, Eric "Tuby" Hunick, Ruben Martinez, Jr., Chris Sais, Jessica "Baby D" Juarez, and Louie Aguirre. STAMM -- Elizabeth May Jones Stamm died March 17, 2005 in Albuquerque. She was born to Florence A. and Thomas G. Jones on April 7, 1919 in West Hazelton, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee Stamm; and her daughter, Reba. She is survived by her son, James L. Stamm of San Antonio, TX; and grandchildren, Benjamin Lee Sanchez and Dacia Nicole Cunejo. Betty served in the WAC during World War II and this service brought her to Albuquerque. She married Lee Edwin Stamm on July 25, 1946 in Boalsburg, PA. The presiding minister at her wedding was Betty's father, Reverend Thomas G. Jones. Betty was employed by Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors in Albuquerque for many years. She was a very active member of Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC in Albuquerque. She sang in the choir, served in Christian education, and participated in the mission outreach of the church. Betty was a very thoughtful person who remembered everyone's special occasions with a greeting card or gift with special significance. A Celebration of Betty's life will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC, 7834 Tennyson Street NE, on Sunday, April 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Memorial Fund of Church of the Good Shepherd, UCC. ANAYA -- Victor S. Anaya Sr., 61, beloved father, son, brother, and husband passed away on March 24, 2005 after a 15 month battle with cancer. Vic was born November 13, 1943 in Fort Bragg, NC. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1963 and served in Vietnam as a radarman aboard the USS Robinson. Vic moved back to Albuquerque in 1968 where he worked for General Electric as a machinist for 21 years until his diagnosis late in 2003. Victor will be sorely missed but never forgotten by his family, friends and all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Feliciano and Josefa Ortega; and brother, Ruben Anaya. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jean Schroeder Anaya of Albuquerque; parents, SanJuana and Alfredo Zapata of Anthony, NM; brother, Fernando Anaya and fiance, Margaret of Albuquerque; sisters, Linda Tarango of Albuquerque, Lisa Zapata of Canutillo, TX; children, Victor II of Albuquerque, Michelle Zapata of Anthony, NM, Alex and wife, Lorraine of Albuquerque, Angela and husband, Jarrod Nall of Texarkana, TX, Michael and wife, Tina of Texarkana, TX, Sharon of Albuquerque, Wade and wife, Maxine of Chicago, IL; and grandchildren, Crystal, Matthias, Jade, Justin, Michael II, Daniel, Tristan, Tyler, Layna, Paul and Michelle. BASSETT -- Charlotte M. Bassett, 76, a 52-year resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard R. Bassett of Albuquerque; daughters, Cheryl Carter of Austin, TX and Gayle O'Dell of Cypress, CA; grandchildren, Clint Hoover, Amy Balderama, Brandon Carter, Haley Carter, and Colten O'Dell; great-granddaughter, Emily Balderama. Charlotte was born in Armington, IL. She attended the University of Illinois in Champagne, IL. In 1952 she moved to Albuquerque and was employed by Sandia Labs. She was a talented musician and taught piano lessons to many children. After the birth of her children she was a loving mother and homemaker for her daughters and husband. She enjoyed their Jemez Mountain cabin and her friends whom she visited with every summer. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. BELL -- Betty J. Bell, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1983, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Jean and husband, Charles Miller of Leland, IL; sons, Richard Raymond and wife, Consuelo Bell of Fritzler, Germany, Timothy Paul and wife, Greta Bell of Wheaton, IL, and Donald Ray and wife, Anna Bell of Ooltewah, TN; sisters, Lois Seibt of Beaverton, OR and Louise Benner of Camden, MA; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard R. Bell; father, C.J. Walker; mother, Martha L. Walker; brother, Verne Walker; and sister, Mary Milsap. BUTLER -- Dorothee Murphy Butler, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her home on March 19, 2005 surrounded by her daughters. Dorothee was born October 8, 1916 in Piedmont, California and was currently residing in Palos Verdes Estates, California. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, R.E. "Tim" Butler; and is survived by her five daughters, Sally (Mitch Rendell), Therese (Art Martinez), Mary Ellen, Virginia (Les Fishman) and Colleen (Vinnie Piazza); nine grandchildren: Jim, Mark, Jennifer, Vince, Heidi, Andrew, Nikayla, Amy and Fred; and eight great-grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Nathaniel, Alexander, Lucas, Olivia, Sarah Grace and Cara; as well as many dear friends. Dorothee ("Tutu" as she was affectionately known to her grandchildren) met and married Tim in Berkeley, California in 1942. They moved to Albuquerque in 1949 where Tim started his career with Sandia Labs. Dorothee had a successful career in interior design where "she could turn a room into a work of art." She brought her sense of style, love of beauty and grace to everything and everyone around her. Dorothee was a fully engaged student of life, returning to school in her 50s to obtain a University Studies degree and moving back to California in her early 80s. She was an avid reader and loved art, theater, travel, the diversity of other cultures, and gourmet food (cooking and sampling!). She had a lifelong interest in politics, sports, language, music and movies and was always available for a lively discussion. A devoted Catholic, Dorothee lived her faith as she brought her gentle and accepting spirit to all those she met. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor located at either 2100 S. Western Avenue, San Pedro, California, 90732, or 1900 Mark Avenue, Gallup, New Mexico 87301, or to the charity of your choice. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Newman Center on April 4, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Albuquerque with an Interment Ceremony for the family immediately following in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Dorothee will be laid to rest next to her darling Tim at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Santa Fe.

CASIAS -- Fred Casias, 87, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2005. He is survived by his sisters, Lena Casias, Gerri Gurule, and Laura Pacheco; as well as two stepdaughters. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Yetta Casias. Fred was born February 28, 1918 on a cattle ranch in Cimarron, NM to Fred and Tillie Casias. After enlisting in the Army during WWII, Fred was injured while jumping into a foxhole, and soon after he was honorably discharged because of his injuries. Fred worked as an electrician and commuted to Los Alamos for many years up until his retirement. Fred loved the outdoors, whether it was his rose garden or fishing and camping. He also enjoyed his red chile with posole and could always be found cooking up a batch for his friends and family. But his true love was his wife, Yetta, and together they loved the Lord. Now Fred has joined them both and their families will miss them deeply. Rest in peace. Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. GAUSS -- Lorraine Gauss, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2005 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Bill; five children; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family is scattered from California to Florida to eastern Canada. She was born in Hazard, KY and grew up in Huntington, WV. She met Bill, an Air Force officer, while working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. They lived on many Air Force bases in Dayton, OH, Austin, TX, Belleville, IL, Wiesbaden, Germany, and Washington, DC, winding up at Kirtland AFB in June 1962. She was a perfect military wife, always ready for adventure and travel. She was very active in her church and in the women's clubs at each base and received acclaim and recognition for her efforts. She loved golfing and has the distinction of making the only hole-in-one by a family member. Friends and family loved her gatherings because of her gourmet cooking and her flair for entertaining. Her lifetime was devoted to thinking of others. She took an interest in everyone she met and had a way of making each person feel special. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm for life never wavered in spite of her ailments. She said, "my faith and my family are my priorities." Her graciousness, personality and love for life are missed. Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2005, at 3:00 p.m., French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel on Saturday, 2:00 p.m. until service.
